I cannot stand reality television. Well, I take that back. There are a few shows I like. I can handle Storage Wars, Pawn Stars and Auction Hunters (before they added the pawn shop.) Once again, Charlie Brown’s Thanksgiving special outdrew other major programs including the X-Factor and Survivor. Why is that? The X-Factor is a great show. I’ve actually watched it. It’s a reality show where people compete with great talent to get to get noticed. Survivor? A long running show where people survive on an island. Heh. Heh heh heh. Heh heh. The smartest show about the dumbest people is back. Last Thursday night I cozied up with a wine cooler, some nachos and turned on MTV for the first time in years to watch the return of Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butt-head. The episode was funny and my husband and I spent those 30 minutes texting our favorite lines back and forth. From the insightful social commentary to the just plain absurd, we laughed our way through the full half-hour.
