About Lee Fischer
Having grown up in Washington D.C., I studied Theology in Europe and South Carolina and have been living overseas for 20 years in Sweden, Germany, England, PNG, and since 2000 again in Germany, with my husband and 3 children. I am currently a full time mom, part time community organizer and part time school committee leader. This year I am pursuing my M.Phil in Conflict Resolution and Reconciliation at Trinity in Ireland. I love reading, thinking, writing, public speaking, thought provoking conversations, watching good movies, going out to breakfast with a friend, and shopping at flea markets. But two tremendous sources of fulfillment come from creating something beautiful and useful out of things others have thrown away, and facilitating meaningful, creative and just gatherings of community, where people are valued and can flourish. I'm as slow as a glacier and really miss Breyer's Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream!
