About Leah Randall
Leah is: Mother of five and grandmother of two—looking forward to the birth of a third grandchild; part time helper to a small business owner but also his full time wife (so, I can shamelessly say, “Yes, I’m sleeping with the boss”); “Stupid Human” to three extremely indulgent miniature schnauzers, and lifelong friend to a wise and relaxed elderly cat; an avid reader; sometimes “editor” and sometimes “writer”; working on being a better “listener”. Follower of Jesus—“Love radically, recklessly and relentlessly!"

"...raw and real"...That sounds like something a something twelve assorted "ordinary" types (including a zealot and a tax collector--natural enemies!) would relate to, Glenn. He'll never leave your sight...just don't close your eyes or get distracted by the side shows along the way. Boldly follow...and be blessed as He shows you stranger places still. :) Thanks for giving us something rich to consider today.Strange Places

The breaking of bread together is a covenant activity, a sharing of more than what we have for food. It becomes a sharing of who we are and "Whose we are". He has set a table of blessing before us and invited all to "come". Dare we, then, turn anyone away? As the bread and fishes were multiplied in His presence, we are sent forth into the world to multiply...to be broken, shared, poured out in His name. I love the challenge you have raised, and the joyous celebration of Christ you hold before us, Leah. By His grace, His followers will always have more than enough for everyone who wishes to partake.Following Jesus Everywhere

I love it, Ellen! Followers need a reminder that to be salt, it calls for us to live out our holiness in Christ as a people set apart, but interacting with and loving people who are still "worldly", while we let them see our love for one another. We need to lay down a lot more of our own flesh and find the unity of that love among one another before Christ in us (the hope of glory) will impact the culture in a substantial way. In his 2006 book Revolution, George Barna revealed statistics show the "local church" has little to NO influence on culture. If eating or not eating a chicken sandwich is how Christians think they can will a difference for the Kingdom, then this is probably the last gasp of the institutions of Western Christendom. The true Bride will rise and shine in the midst of the mayhem and take the stance of the follower...the unity of those have taken up the cross with a willingness to "die". Brava! Thanks for this piece of encouragement to the "followers".Follow Me
