Mad Men, a term which is referred to the advertising executives of the Madison Avenue in New York City in the 1960′s, which is also a popular and one of the greatest American period dramas ever. Mad men premiered on 19th July, 2007 and since then it has won many awards including Emmys and Golden Globes. Centerpiece of the drama is Donald Draper (played by Jon Hamm) who is a creative director at one of the prestigious advertising firms of New York City. The screenplay revolves around his life and the people in his life which, in fact, is an exact picture of the ups and downs of an ideal executive life. Moreover, drama successfully depicts the changing moods and societal mores of the United States in 1960′s.

No doubt, the series grips the viewer in an old-fashioned way with its historical accuracy. Furthermore, truthfully acclaimed by advertising officials of that era. Coming towards the depth of the characters, the series critically portrays every character to its depth. There are many tragic and funny moments in the series which would just pass by if you didn’t pay attention.
The series, so far, has been entertaining its fan since 2007 with five consecutive seasons. Recently, it has been renewed for the sixth season and the mighty Mad Men is scheduled to premier this coming 7th April on AMC channel. Sixth season is a new wave on its own and if you are looking for action packed television shows or a laugh crack this is not the show for you but if you believe in the development of characters and the plot with a pace of its own, 7th April is the date to remember.
